The Double Edged Sword

I have read this scripture so many times and mainly I would meditate on the fact that The Word is alive… and active!
But today Holy Spirit showed me the part where it penetrates even to dividing soul and Spirit!
I thought how AWESOME it is that The Double Edged Sword is compared to The Word and that the Word is even sharper than it! The Word of God is The Sword of The Spirit. Also, in The Book of Revelations when Jesus shows up on the scene He is described so vividly and with a double edged sword coming out His mouth.
Oh y’all….
The beauty of The Sword of the Spirit is…. Its ability to penetrate and cut straight to the core.
It penetrates and divides soul and Spirit.
Even in us.
Even in our struggles with emotions and thoughts.
Do you know that’s what the soul is? It’s our mind, our will and our emotions!
When we are struggling in our feelings or our emotions or even our thoughts or our hormones, the thing we can always rely on is that we are filled with Holy Spirit if we have made Jesus Lord.
This means…. Jesus in us, The Hope of Glory, Jesus’ Spirit in us, The Holy Spirit, can help us to separate feelings and emotions from truth!
And, He uses His Sword…. The Word of God to do it.
The Word of God is our truth.
It’s our sword. It’s our only true north.
The Word (That is sharper than a double edged sword)can help you decipher lies from truth.
The Word of God(that is sharper than any double edged sword) can help you make right choices, no matter what your emotions are saying.
The Word of God helps us separate fact and fiction in our soul.
Now that’s….. a weapon we truly need.
Today, have you sharpened your Sword?
Have you meditated on The Word?
Have you given truth a chance to cut the lies Satan has planted in your ear today into pieces?

The Word is waiting for you. It’s alive and active!
