Don’t Waste The Weeds

Well, I did what I do every month, the day after Unforsaken Women. I choose some physical labor to do to work out a lot of my post preaching attack.
I grabbed the hedge trimmers and I started cutting back the bushes and trees. I used to have to burn or compost the weeds, now I have a herd full of loves who get excited at the fence for some more ruffage.
Today…. I was fighting the usual condemnation from Satan about “oversharing”.
I blame Satan but it is probably just my over-active inner critic again.
Whispering…
“You’re not a teacher. Teachers show how much they have grown and can handle things on their own.”
“No one wants to hear you teach. They will find someone who will tell them how perfect they are doing now that they are saved.”
“You’re just still a hot-mess in need of a Savior every second.”
Then…. I just keep trimming and trimming and sweating and crying before God and He says to me…
“You’re teaching exactly how I called you to teach….Real. You’re not wasting these trimmings and you’re not wasting your pain.”
Then….
I scoop up the piles and I take them to the animals and I say to God….
“I still need You so…… and I’m so glad I do. I’ll keep sharing Lord. I’ll keep being real so women can heal. I love You my Jesus.”
Ya’ll…. I’m still healing as I teach. I’m still teaching as I heal.
